Could it be that Denver is finally beginning to turn into a seller's market?
Those
of you who watch the Denver Market know that we have been seeing signs that the local market is improving.
- A continually dropping Months of Inventory (MOI) of homes for sale in the Denver MLS
- Increased competition for foreclosure homes.
- A consistently dropping inventory of competing new homes.
Well,
those factors have contributed to Denver being identified in a national
article as the "No. 9 of the Top 10 Seller's Markets".
Reporter Matt Woolsey stated about Denver:
No. 9: Denver
"After
significant overbuilding during the last three years, the rate of
tightening for the Denver market was good enough to land it second in
that measure. Add a middle of the pack ranking of in its sales rate to
inventory and it's safe to suggest that Denver may not be a fully
developed seller's market, but it's headed that way."
